From May 16th to 17th, the WorldSkills Industrial Design Technology Project 2025 International (Shenzhen) Invitational Competition was held at Shenzhen Technician College. The invitational competition attracted more than 50 experts and contestants from 9 countries including China, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Thailand, and 14 domestic colleges and universities including Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Changchun Institute of Science and Technology, and Fuyang Institute of Technology. Liu Rui, a student of the 2022 product design major of our school, stood out in the fierce competition with his solid professional ability, innovative design thinking and outstanding on-site performance and won the first prize.

The competition assessment includes three key modules: design research and concept sketches, 3D modeling and 3D printing, and prototype design and design proposals. The contestants need to accurately analyze the market situation, find the market positioning of new products, and conceive forward-looking product concepts with their own profound design skills and innovative thinking. This requires not only solid painting art expression ability to vividly depict design ideas, but also proficiency in various computer operating software to transform designs into accurate virtual models, and finally use 3D printing technology to materialize the products, fully demonstrating their comprehensive strength.

In the fierce competition among many experts, Liu Rui, a student of the 2022 product design major of our school, stood out with solid professional knowledge, excellent practical ability and extraordinary innovative thinking, and won the first prize in one fell swoop. This honor fully demonstrates the teaching achievements of our school in the field of industrial design technology and the professional quality and comprehensive ability of students. It is also a strong testimony to our school's emphasis on cultivating students' practical skills and innovative ability over the years.

This invitational competition provides our students with a valuable opportunity to compete and exchange with top international players, further broadening their international horizons and enhancing the international influence of the school.
