On April 25, the 12th Anhui Logistics Conference was grandly held in Hefei. Professor Cheng Xiangyang, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and his team of four people were invited to attend the conference and achieved fruitful results in academic exchanges, industry-university-research cooperation, and the construction of student practice bases, demonstrating the school's academic influence and social service capabilities in the field of logistics and supply chain.

The theme of this conference is "Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Innovation and Development". Leaders and experts from China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, China Transportation Association, Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Provincial Department of Commerce, and more than 500 representatives from logistics companies, research institutes and 29 universities across the province attended the conference. The paper "Research on the Coordinated Development Path of Logistics Economy, Digital Marketing and International Trade in Fuyang City - Empirical Analysis Based on Characteristic Industries" submitted by our faculty team won the "Special Prize for Excellent Papers in Industry-University-Research Cooperation in Logistics Industry in Anhui Province", and the case "Fuyang Caidi - The Road to Transformation of Omni-channel Business Model" won the "Second Prize for Excellent Cases in Industry-University-Research Cooperation in Logistics Industry in Anhui Province". The research content focuses on the coordinated development of local logistics economy, digital marketing and international trade, and provides theoretical support and practical paths for the optimization of the characteristic agricultural industry chain in northern Anhui.

During the meeting, the School of Economics and Management team also participated in the Industry-University-Research Supply and Demand Forum, took the initiative to connect with participating companies, and reached strategic cooperation with the Anhui Logistics Association, JD Logistics Anhui Branch, and Best Supply Chain Group. Song Peng, head of the school-enterprise cooperation of JD Logistics Anhui, said: "Fuyang Institute of Technology's achievements in cultivating applied talents are obvious to all. This cooperation will provide companies with professional talents with both theoretical knowledge and practical ability."

These companies will provide "supply chain-based technologies and services", including hundreds of internship positions including smart warehousing, logistics distribution, supply chain design, production training and skills evaluation, and promise to open green employment channels for those with outstanding performance. Cheng Xiangyang said that this conference achieved the triple goals of "academic voice, resource docking, and achievement implementation". The college will continue to deepen the construction of "new liberal arts" and "new business", build majors on the industrial chain, and build industries in the classroom. It will actively rely on our school's characteristic agricultural product industry chain supply chain research center to create a government-school-enterprise collaborative innovation consortium to provide intellectual support and talent guarantee for the high-quality development of Anhui's logistics industry.

This honor marks a new step for the School of Economics and Management of our university in the construction of applied disciplines. With the implementation of a series of cooperative projects, the school's ability to serve local economic development will be further enhanced, opening up a broader career development space for students majoring in logistics engineering.
