In order to guide students to grasp the development pulse of the artificial intelligence era, clarify professional development goals, and make good career plans, on the afternoon of April 7, Vice President Xu Zhicai gave an ideological and political course entitled "College Students Should Actively Embrace Artificial Intelligence" to students majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics, computer science and technology, and engineering cost management of the class of 2024 in the auditorium on the first floor of the library.

The application of artificial intelligence technology is profoundly changing the definition, production, dissemination and application of knowledge. In order to further popularize artificial intelligence knowledge, stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning artificial intelligence technology, and improve students' artificial intelligence literacy. Xu Zhicai explained the basic connotation, application field and future development direction of artificial intelligence from four aspects: "What is artificial intelligence", "What can artificial intelligence do", "How college students embrace artificial intelligence" and "Prediction of the future development of AI", so that the students present had a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence. Xu Zhicai emphasized that any epoch-making scientific and technological achievements are a reconstruction of the economy and society, and artificial intelligence is no exception. For workers, excessive worry about the substitution effect of technology is useless. What is more important is to cultivate strong learning and adaptability, and improve their own skills and comprehensive quality.

This special lecture on artificial intelligence is also an active exploration of the deep integration of ideological and political education and science and technology education in our school. In the future, our school's ideological and political education will continue to explore innovative paths for the deep integration of ideological and political education and professional education, and strive to cultivate more new-era talents with both moral integrity and ability.
