Lecture topic: The crown jewel of electronic chemicals - photoresist
Lecture content: Chips are the soul of modern technology, and photoresists are the key materials for chip manufacturing, becoming the most dazzling "electronic chemical star" today. The report will systematically introduce the application of photoresists in chip manufacturing and new displays, the types of photoresists, the current domestic and foreign markets and technical status, the basic principles of photoresists and the chemical basis therein, and introduce the research progress of the Shanghai Jiaotong University team in the field of polyimide photoresist packaging and display.
Speaker profile: Lu Qinghua, Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, National Outstanding Youth Award, and Shanghai Outstanding Discipline Leader. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Tongji University in 1988, and obtained a master's degree and a doctorate degree in polymer materials from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1993 and 1999 respectively. He visited Hitachi Chemical in Japan and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also the executive director of the Polymer Materials Science and Engineering Branch of the China Materials Research Society, a member of the China Bionic Materials Chemistry Professional Committee, and the editor of "Chinese Chemical Letters", "Journal of Functional Polymers" and "Polymer Materials Science and Engineering".
Research interests: Focusing on chips and advanced display optoelectronic materials, conducting polyimide photoresists and machine learning-based lithography pattern defect analysis, color/black and colorless transparent polyimide structure design and application, data-driven polyimide quantitative structure-activity relationship, polymer chiral optical films. He has successively presided over the 973 project and the 863 project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the key, original, and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, including publishing more than 300 academic papers in journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Edit., Adv. Mater., Adv. Sci., ACS Nano, Nat. Sci. Rev., etc., published a Chinese monograph on polyimide, and wrote chapters in two English monographs on polyimide. He won two second prizes for provincial and ministerial scientific and technological progress, guided doctoral graduates to win the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award twice, and won the Shanghai Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award four times, and guided the undergraduate team to win the "Gold Award" of the 2022 China International "Internet +" College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the 2023 China College Students' "Challenge Cup" Gold Award, and the 2024 China International College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition "Gold Award".
